Harpo's is an American-style restaurant founded in Columbia, Missouri. However, the establishment's greatest claim to fame is the bar - especially on Tuesdays for the beloved $2 Tuesdays special. It has been Missouri's staple bar since 1971.

 

My Public Relations class was tasked with writing a press release for Harpo's that focused on the opening of a location in Urbana-Champaign, Illinois.

I created a PR event with an emphasis on monetary donations to the American Red Cross and community engagement via social media. The press release discusses the event, which takes place on the opening day of the bar's new location.
